Account Deletion

This page explains how users of the Marki app can request deletion of their account and associated personal data.

How to Delete Your Account

You can delete your Marki account directly from within the app at any time. No email or external request is required:

  1. 1Open the Marki app on your device.
  2. 2Tap the Profile tab at the bottom of the screen.
  3. 3Tap Account Settings (gear icon).
  4. 4Scroll down to the Danger Zone section.
  5. 5Tap Delete Account and confirm when prompted.

Data That Will Be Deleted

When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:

  • Your profile information (name, email address).
  • Your authentication credentials and all active sessions.
  • Your personal settings and preferences.
  • Your household membership and any households you created that have no other members.

Data That May Be Retained

Some data may be retained under the following circumstances:

  • Receipt and purchase data associated with a shared household may be retained if other household members remain active, as it forms part of their shared spending history.
  • Anonymized or aggregated data that cannot be linked back to you may be retained for analytical purposes.
